I've been tagged...Okay Rachael, I'm game.
* Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
* People who are tagged, write a blog post about their own 8 random things, and post these rules.
* At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names.
* Don’t forget to leave them a comment on their blog and tell them they’ve been tagged, and to come back and read your blog for the whole story
1. I imagine myself as a beautiful person that everyone loves, and am shocked to find out otherwise (I know I'm crazy).
2. I love Poison and Def Leppard, and still listen to them all the time.
3. I love mushrooms.
4. I long to go back to the Canary Islands where I served my mission. I truly miss the people that I left behind, it really feels like there is a hole in my heart and I desperately want to see them and hug them and make sure they are doing good.
5. I grew up in Wyoming and I love Wyoming. I even get nostalgic when I see a tumbleweed.
6. My greatest goal is to raise successful children. I want them to be happy and have strong testimonies.
7. I'm excited for the day when I can spend alone time with Paul, and travel and just be together all the time.
8. I desperately want to be organized and have a clean house. Sometimes I will invite people over just to force me to clean the house.

Happy Father's Day
This post is dedicated to the best Dads I've ever known!
My dad is a strong, sensitive man with a great sense of humor. As I was growing up he always gave me good advice and loved me unconditionally. I never wanted to let him down, having his respect was one of my greatest desires. He is a great Papa to my children and we all love him!
My Paul is also a great dad! He loves me and he loves our children. He plays with them, reads to them, takes them on "date nights", and has their best interest in mind at all times.

Taekwondo
Tyler and Brayden just got their Green Belts in Taekwondo. I guess we don't need to worry about walking down dark alleys. We just need to protect them from each other.

Brayden is 7 yrs. old
Today is Brayden's birthday. Brayden has always been a happy, sweet boy. He loves playing with his friends, and helping others to be happy too. He loves music and plays the piano and loves to sing.

Brayden will always put a positive spin on any occasion. His first grade teacher was telling me that she just loves his sense of humor. One day he had forgotten his show and tell (each kid was assigned a day to bring something) and instead of being upset about it he decided to show the class his shoe. He took it off and explained to everyone the things he does while he wears those shoes and then showed them every little detail. Everyone laughed and thought he was so funny. He came home thinking that he had the best show and tell ever (it didn't matter that someone else had an Emu egg).

My New Obsession
I have a found a new series that I love. I was up until 2:00 a.m. reading it last night. The first book was called "Twilight" and now I'm reading the next one called "New Moon". Great books, and the movie comes out in December!!

Cooking Day
Today was our cooking day. We decided to make Peanut Butter Balls. The kids really enjoyed it and ate almost all of them before we were done. Here is the recipe.
Peanut Butter Balls
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
1/4 cup oats
3/4 cup crisp rice cereal (we used cocoa krispies)
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, dry milk, oats, and 1/4 cup of the rice cereal.
2. Shape into 1 inch balls.
3. Put the remaining 1/2 cup rice cereal in a large zip-type bag and crush with hands.
4. Place balls in bag and shake until balls are covered with cereal.
5. Store in covered container in the refrigerator.
I think this picture is cute, notice Brayden eating as Tyler is putting them on the foil (this caused an argument shortly after the picture).
Like Totally Awesome Dude!
We went to an 80's party!!
1980's were the best. I love the music and even some of the fashions. We had a fun time walking down memory lane with some or our friends Saturday night. We have such fun friends and I'm glad that they have great ideas!
The "Rockin' Dudes"
The "Sweet Babes"
Roland and Robin, love the glasses Roland!
Dionne and JD, I'm diggin' the pink polo
Tamzen and Lee, I'm just impressed that she can still fit in her Letter Jacket and Lee actually got a "bowl cut" for the occasion.
Kristy and John, they get the award for using the most hair spray and hair gel.
Jenn and Flay, I love the criss cross pants!
Rachael and Damon, she found the best shorts at Goodwill (I actually had shorts like that)
Warren and Kim, Kim was a huge New Kids on the Block fan. She had magazines from 1990 with articles about the group, she was wearing a huge Donny button.
Debbie and Dave, Debbie was wearing her Richard Marx T-shirt.
Whitney and Mike, Whitney had huge shoulder pads and Mike was sporting an earring.
Steve and Paula, Our fabulous hosts, it was for Paula's birthday that they had this great party. They are so much fun!! I loved all their pictures, Steve even had a perm in one.
Hans and Michelle, She actually looks cute in leggins, and Hans wanted to burn (as in copy) my Poison CD (the 80's did have great music).
I was wearing a banana clip and jelly shoes (I also borrowed Whitney's shoulder pads for the picture), Paul was wearing an AC/DC shirt.

Father/Son Campout
Paul took the boys camping Friday night, it was the ward Father/Son campout. They had a good time. The boys kept talking about a huge snake that a guy found. He was carrying it around and came over to the boys to show them his "find".
Paul said he was grateful that the boys each had a different colored glow stick which made it easy to keep track of them.
The boys had a great time playing with their friends and eating their foil dinners. The boys' goal was to stay up until midnight, which they succeeded. After they fell asleep the wind was very strong and made it hard to sleep. Their tent didn't collapse, but I guess some other people had problems.
This is a picture of Tyler whittling a spear. Basically just sharpening a stick, any excuse to use his pocket knife.
