Happy Birthday, Alyssa!!!

Our Alyssa turned 12 on March 5th. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. I love that she is happy, helpful, faithful, kind, and a friend to everyone. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.

I am not a very "gushy" person, but for some reason as I wrote this post I got a little mushy over my sweet Alyssa. I really am so proud of her.

This is the first time that I held my baby girl. I remember the feelings of amazement and gratitude to my Heavenly Father. He gave us such a perfect and beautiful gift. I felt humbled and yet so happy and excited.

Fireplace Makeover

Okay, so I did it. I painted the fireplace. I primed the whole thing. Then I sponge painted each brick. I think I still want to add a little more dark brown. I wanted to make a mantle and have book shelves on eaither side of it, but I decided that I would feel too guilty spending too much money so I took the cheap way out and painted it. After sponging the bricks I white washed the whole thing. Then I filled the cracks on the inside and painted it all black, with a high heat paint. I do like it better than before, and I still have plans to add a big mantle and book shelves on the sides.

2nd Grade Music Program - Bugz

Brayden had his 2nd grade music program this past week. It was called "Bugz". Brayden was the only grub worm. He did a good job. During the second to last song Brayden lost his tooth. Great memories!!

Skycoaster

Tyler wanted to make sure that I put this video of him on the blog. He has really enjoyed making new designs with his "skycoaster" (a roller coaster for marbles).
